Piscataqua Savings Bank has announced the promotion of Rob Gagnon to Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer, recognizing his leadership, industry expertise, and growing impact within the bank and the Seacoast community.

In his new role, Gagnon will focus on strengthening strategic partnerships, aligning cross-functional teams across the organization, and developing client-centered solutions that support market expansion and sustainable growth. His promotion reflects both his extensive experience and the value he has already brought to the bank during his first year with the organization.

Gagnon brings more than 30 years of experience across retail and business banking, residential and commercial lending, and senior leadership. Much of his career has been rooted in community banking throughout the Seacoast region of New Hampshire, where he has built strong relationships with local businesses and community organizations.

“Community banking in the Seacoast is where my experience can have the greatest impact,” said Gagnon. “My specialized skills allow me to contribute meaningfully to an organization and the communities it serves.”

Since joining Piscataqua Savings Bank last year, Gagnon has focused on integrating into the bank’s culture while contributing to key business development initiatives, particularly within the mortgage banking team.

“The past year has been quite refreshing,” said Gagnon. “I spent much of that time learning the culture, integrating with staff and management, and working with the mortgage banking team where I felt I could have an immediate impact.”

Looking ahead, Gagnon plans to expand that collaborative approach across the bank’s other departments.

“Seeing the results of the work with the mortgage banking team has been rewarding,” he said. “Now I’m looking at the other departments of the bank and thinking about how I can best help those groups achieve what they want to do.”

For Gagnon, one of the most rewarding aspects of working at Piscataqua Savings Bank is the strong sense of connection between the organization, its customers, and the surrounding community.

“As a small community bank, you really feel connected to the people you work with, our client base, and the community as a whole,” said Gagnon. “Everyone deserves to feel cared for and valued by their bank, and the team here demonstrates that every day.”

Gagnon believes local community banks play an essential role in the economic health and vitality of the regions they serve by offering personalized service, local expertise, and responsive decision-making.

“A local community bank is essential to the life of the communities it participates in,” he said. “Local expertise, decision-making, and genuine interactions help ensure people feel supported and make it easier for them to do business.”

Outside the bank, Gagnon is deeply involved in community service. He is active with the Rotary Club of Dover, where he currently serves as President-Elect and will lead the organization during the 2026–2027 year. Through Rotary, he participates in a range of initiatives that support local residents, including volunteer efforts for the unhoused community, programs that provide grocery assistance for families, and scholarships for local students.

He also volunteers regularly with Seacoast Community Lunch, an organization that provides meals and support to individuals in need throughout the region.

“When I volunteered there for the first time, I immediately connected with the volunteers and the people we serve,” said Gagnon. “It’s a place where everyone is welcomed, respected, and cared for.”

Outside of work and volunteer commitments, Gagnon is also an avid pickleball player. A former tennis player, he now competes in leagues and tournaments across several states and enjoys the sport’s combination of competition and community.

With his promotion, Piscataqua Savings Bank looks forward to continuing to benefit from Gagnon’s leadership, creativity, and dedication to both clients and community.
